Crash was found in a culvert down the road and quickly decided Tender Heart Farm was where he belonged. Today, he's our fearless mouser and self-appointed Chief Chaos Coordinator (CCC). He spends his days stalking anything that moves—mice, bugs, butterflies, and occasionally his fellow furry friends. Raised alongside the chickens, Crash thinks he's one of the flock and is perfectly happy sharing their feed bowl. Around here, life is never boring when Crash is on patrol.

When off duty, he's happiest belly side up, catching a cat-nap on the back porch.

Chief Security Officer

At 120 pounds, Koa is the gentle giant of Tender Heart Farm. His booming bark is enough to convince most predators—including coyotes—to keep their distance, but beneath that mighty voice is the heart of a teddy bear.

Koa takes his job seriously. One night, his bark rescued Trot the turkey from a fox attack, proving that his watchful eye extends to every member of the farm family.

When he's off duty, Koa is happiest with his people. Despite his size, he's convinced he's a lap dog and never misses an opportunity to lean in for pets or climb into a lap on the front porch. Around our children, he's as gentle as a butterfly, reminding us that true strength is often paired with a kind heart.

Forever Chief Joy Officer

Bella will always hold a special place in the heart of Tender Heart Farm. With her gentle spirit, quiet curiosity, and unmistakable white belt, she inspired the stories and values that continue to shape children's literature we create.

Though Bella is no longer with us, her legacy lives on through the memories she gave our family and the stories she continues to inspire. She reminds us that kindness, compassion, and finding joy in life's simple moments can leave a lasting impact—long after we've said goodbye.​

Chief Honey Officer

Every thriving hive has one remarkable leader, and at Tender Heart Farm, our Queen Bee is the heart of it all. Her most important job is laying the thousands of eggs that keep the colony strong and healthy, allowing generations of hardworking honey bees to care for the hive, pollinate our flowers and gardens, and produce the delicious honey we're proud to share.

While she rarely leaves the hive, the Queen Bee's impact can be seen throughout the farm. She reminds us that great leadership isn't always about being the loudest or most visible—it's about creating the conditions for others to thrive. Thanks to her and the incredible worker bees that surround her, every jar of Tender Heart Farm honey begins with teamwork.

Chief Flock Officer

Arthur takes his responsibilities seriously. As the proud rooster of Tender Heart Farm, he keeps a watchful eye over the flock, calling the hens to food, leading them safely back to the coop each evening, and sounding the alarm whenever something doesn't seem quite right.

Arthur also plays an important role in helping our flock grow. Thanks to him, we're able to hatch new chicks, expand our feathered family, and share farm-fresh eggs from generations of happy, healthy hens.

Confident, attentive, and always on duty, Arthur reminds us that great leaders don't just lead from the front—they care for the well-being of everyone around them.
